On the final day of Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week 2025, we’re going out with a bang in Chinatown alongside some of Asia’s biggest names! ⚡️
Modernhaus (@modernhausjkt), a standout from Jakarta’s UNION Group, is a cocktail bar that brings mid-century modern warmth into the heart of Senopati. Inspired by the concept of a home—where design, comfort, and connection come together—Modernhaus redefines the bar experience with an open communal layout that erases the boundary between bartender and guest.
Led by Head Barteder Mirwansyah ‘Bule’ (@bule_elub), one of Indonesia’s most respected mixologists and the mind behind several of the country’s top bar programs, Modernhaus takes inspiration from the anatomy of plants. Its cocktail menu is structured around root, fruit, leaf, and flower, celebrating vibrant contrasts, local produce, and mindful techniques—all tied together by a focus on flavour, sustainability, and storytelling.
Joining him is Senior Bartender Sofian, bringing Modernhaus’ thoughtful, garden-forward approach to Jaotim KL (@jaotimkl)—a soulful heritage venue in the heart of Chinatown.
